“One of the biggest tragedies of human civilization is the precedence of chemical therapy over nutrition. It’s the substitution of artificial therapy over natural, of poisons over food, in which we are feeding people poisons trying to correct the reactions of starvation.”
Dr. Royal Lee, 1935
The medical literature is filled with valid research substantiating the effectiveness of whole foods and herbs in not only the prevention of cancer but also in the effective treatment of cancer. Unfortunately, most of this vital research is being undertaken outside of the U.S. Why? Because the drug industry owns the institution of medicine and the highly beneficial results of these studies are being ignored. Also, alternative medical research is simply not funded. The truth is that cancer is caused in part by poor dietary habits. Other factors are involved but do not play as important a role as nutrition.
These other factors include:
- Genetics
- Chemical and environmental toxins
- Mental and emotional health
- Sedentary life-style
There have been various individuals throughout history who have been able to help people with cancer achieve remission. However, these therapies have been systematically repressed. Harry Hoxey, Rene Cassey and Royal Rife are just three of these individuals who have used holistic therapies. Hoxey and Cassey used herbal formulas and Rife used sound frequency to kill the cancer cells. I have found that a combination of diet, herbs, and other techniques are highly effective in helping individuals with cancer.
There are five stages of healing. The first and most important is believing at your core that your body has the ability to heal itself. The second stage is to take responsibility for that healing and to become proactive. The third stage is to gather data or information on methods of healing. The fourth stage is to go deep within yourself and ask your personal guidance system if your chosen program sounds right for you. Then the last stage is to make a commitment and set your intention to heal.
When dealing with cancer, a multidimensional approach has the best success rate. This entails a nutritious diet that not only includes fresh whole foods but also excludes certain harmful chemicals which pass as foods. I use a holistic approach that encompasses not only diet, exercise, whole food supplements and herbs, but also provides a mental and emotional component that is spiritually based. Several “energy medicine” techniques are also included to round out the program.
Many cancer patients have achieved remission through the use of alternative therapies. Here is a testimonial from one of my patients:
“I would like to tell my story so that all will know that there is hope for people with cancer. I was informed by my doctor in the fall of 2000 that I had breast cancer and that the prognosis was not good. There was mention of a year but probably not more. Of course, I was devastated by this news and almost gave up then and there. I say almost because one month later, I met with Dr. Sharon Rabb. After my first appointment, I could see a glimmer of hope and I realized that I had to take a proactive approach to my own healing process. This alone began to ease the stress and increase my quality of life. I decided to combine both traditional and alternative medical approaches. I underwent surgery and chemotherapy. I was informed by my doctor that the chemo would depress my immune system so that I would probably stay ill with respiratory infections through the winter and spring.
I was fortunate in that I started with Dr. Rabb right after surgery-and before chemo. I say fortunate because not only did I not stay sick all winter but I did not become ill at all during my treatments! Dr. Rabb started me on a new dietary regime, other life style changes, and a protocol of holistic whole food supplements and herbs. The changes were difficult at first, but paid off big time in the end. I felt better using the supplements than I had ever felt and I know that they helped reduce the side effects of the chemo. I have maintained my diet and a supplement protocol for three years now and I am still in remission.”

In conclusion, I would like to impart to you that if you have cancer or if cancer is in your family, start now on your journey towards wholeness and health. There is always hope and there is always a chance for healing.
